Issues
Division 6
- The death trap that is, Mt Cotton Rd. (Requires constant lobbying to the State)
- Student and parent safety at Mt Cotton State School
- Tip fees. Abolish them so that we can reduce midnight dumping.
- Education and opportunity for our youth. Jobs, Education.
- Affordable living and healthy lifestyle
- Lobbying for more public transport servicing Mt Cotton and Redland Bay
- Improved footpaths and bikeways.
Redland City
- Lobbying for Eastern Bus way and better transport . Put it into a shorter time frame instead of 2031 deadline, and pressure state MP’s to deliver.
- Weinam Creek. Fully costed, working plan that protects the foreshore but operates as a marine facility and provides for Sthn Moreton Bay population.
- Overhaul rating categories. Review, assess and cap. Recent increases are not in keeping with what our ratepayers can afford.
- Ratepayers rights. To manage and utilise our own land is our basic right.
- This City needs serious people, to make serious decisions.
- Supporting local business by reducing red tape and over regulation.
Eliminate
- Bad management.
- Deferred decisions, for further costly surveys and reports.
- Inability to negotiate with the State and Commonwealth.
How
- Mt Cotton Rd needs attention. After the state and local elections. I will be contacting our local MP and the relative minister for commitment and action.
- School safety. Lollypop attendants, School zone traffic lights at Sanctuary Dve. Serious concerns and immediate action required.
- Tip fees. Eliminate all Residential waste fees. Immediate action.
- Reviewing council policies that slow down outcomes for residents and business.
I will represent division 6 by:
- Maintaining my already established relationship with the State and Federal representatives.
- Always being available to hear your concerns and acting immediately on ALL issues.
- Reporting back to you ALL decisions Council makes, that would have ANY impact on Lifestyle and Cost of Living.
- Representing the broader population not just vocal minority groups.
- Putting Division 6 first.
